NA Pistons??
Thinking about running slightly higher compression pistons. Wondering what people are running and about how much gain they are getting?
Let me know your set up because i will be trying to do cams and ITBS eventually.

just raising the compression is not going to yield big gains....
you are going to need quite a few supportiing mods....
cams(toda)
header (berk tech/j's racing)
exhaust(single outlet)
engine mgmt(aem)
itbs?....... maybe a filter on a stick will yield the gains you are looking for, and have better streetability
but to answer your question expect, a few extra ponies....w/ the correct tuning
also, what compression ratio are you shooting for....
are you going to run pump gas, or race?

Wouldnt you have to run at least 93 if you go any higher?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I am no tuner. But this sounds right. I think some states sell 100 oct.??

Thanks for the input.
Not exactly sure what I'm going to do but with all of the responses I guess what I had in mind may not be the right thing.
I'm not that interested in Drag I'm more into road/ autox. I know that suspension, brakes and all that good stuff are just as important if not more than the power. But I would like to reach around 300whp in the end. NA apparently is not the way to go about this.

Get a supercharger and call it a day then.
Otherwise, 2.5L stroker + supporting mods. (you still won't reach 300rwhp), but get some gears to that setup and you'll be feeling like you do.

seriously? SERIOUSLY? "yea" was your entire answer? Did you sit and ponder saying that for a while?
If you are into autocross/track, your biggest time diminishing mods are coils, wheels/tires, and practice. There are guys tearing it up with stock engine, but very good suspension mods.

But thanks again for the responses.
