starter issue, can rebuild kit be bought, how to test ?
changed my thermostat and car basically wouldnt start after, appears coolant has poured over it or on wires near it so think it may have been ruined
can rebuild kits be bought from honda or can you only whole new unit ?
is there any way of having them testing to see which component is faulty in the unit ?

not worth it to rebuild it yourself its a bitch and the internal parts are rare, starters go for like 60 bucks anyway, make sure you reattached the thermostate ground, most likely the cuase of your car not starting
ground was first thing i checked, after days of checking everyhting its the starter
you have to get 1 person to mess about pushing it at certain points while i started it up and fires up, wont start unless you do this
never had single starting problem in 4 years ive had car and no warnings or hesitation starting in past at all so coolant must have got down there somewhere and ruined something when changing thermostat
ill look into buying new, any idea how much they go for from honda, im in u.k and all dealers here are closed on sunday

well i was about to link you to a bunch of us sites but shipping would kill you, plus you might get the wr9ng part for the wrong engine since our cars are diffrent engines and driver postiion and trim leve;s are all diffrent, go to any auto parts store. they should have it
whats the conversion rate at a pound?
here i belive starters from the dealership go for about 150 bucks
take your old starter off go to autozone, and trade the CORE in, to save a few bucks, not to mention you can compare the 2 parts while you are there
