91 civic hatch

Default 91 civic hatch

i got a 98 gsr swap with the integra cable trans. the side with the intermediate shaft pops out on power shifts and over turning. Does anyone knoe wat could be wrong.. maybe my intermediate shaft is angled... thanks 4 help

The retaining clip on the end of the axle where it goes into the intermediate shaft is either broken or missing.

well we put in two new axels and it still broke. the clips was new. but yeah anymore help would be great. we got in a old axel from my friends stash of parts on it now but we really never did power shift or anything. just pounding it after we shifted. its still holding for now.

stop power shifting, that breaks things.

Powershifting does break things. I don't know where you're getting your info from. Maybe the trans isn't up to being abused?

it breaks things because power shifting puts a lot of stress on the drive train and power shifting with that much power on stock axles can break them, I used to power shift then i blew up a clutch I dont do it any more.

well i dont know how much power the motor has but as far as i can see it has intakemanifold,shortram intake, v-tec controller,headers and full pipe exhaust(no cat). car had turboed before i got it. Plus its slamed to the ground the camber is pretty bad colud that be a problem too.

thnaks guys will raise it hopefully put on the camber kit too, plus forgot to mention the axle brakes apart half is still attached to the intermediate shaft when it brakes just wanted to share that maybe it will help.
