Default timing belt cover?

I had someone come over to do the timing on my car. When you advance the distributor a 1/8 then the car starts to idle fine, when you put it bcak the car just keeps stalling. I didn't have the cover on my engine but i recently bought the top, the middle and the bottom cover for my d16. He said i needed the lower cover to do the timing?? I do not see any marks on the lower timing belt cover?

Can someone show me a picture?

Thanks

That is for a D16Y8, and the D16Z6 is the same spot, the timing should be 16 degrees +/- 2, since that damn bubble covered it up.

Make sure to jump the SCS connector before you set your timing, engine has to be fully warm as well.

They should be there, they look like iron sights, a V and then a ^ right below that mark. Reference the pic to find it.

Look near the tensioner bolt hole, there is a V on the top of it, and a ^ just opposite of it.
