A pipe heat shield
jus to double check this heat shield i think it is called the A pipe heat shield is loose on my car and i dont have the cash to replace it but can i jus take it off and not worry about doing any harm to my car?

I agree, and even if the bolts or the seat is stripped tapping or buying new bolts is a much easier option IMO.
a 5th gen I got to work on had a similar problem. One of the bolts had totally rusted out. So I took it out, got new ones and replaced them all.

ok thanks guys....i could swear that on a 99 ex there was a heat shield b4 the cat but i could be wrong ill find out tomorrow when i put the car up. it rattles and is driving me crazy it makes my car sound like a beater.
