Default short shifter hitting exhaust.

im trying to fix this problem. i just installed a no name brand short shifter but it hits the exhaust and i can't even put on the bushing to hold exhaust up. its also making shifting a bit harder.

unfortunatly, iVteC_PoWeR is right. you need to get your hands on either a B&M short shifter, or a Skunk2. i actually installed a Skunk2 today. i'd say at least 50% difference compared to stock, and probably about 20% difference compared to my old short shifter. i got the skunk2 dual bend short shifter and the skunk2 weighted shift **** that threads directly onto it for only $128.00 shipped. installed in about an hour, works flawlessly. dual bend, so it leans towards you. works amazing, couldn't be more happy.

shift extenders are a pretty cool mod. especially teamed up with a short shifter .

just need to say it one more time,
skunk2 short shifter = simply the best

x2 on both accounts. Either get your hands dirty and reposition the exhaust, or you get a shifter worth putting on a car. /biased opinion

after driving with this dual bend, i will never buy another short shifter. i am so pleased with how the dual bend sits, and with how small the throw is. never heard of Megan. is it a good brand? you didn't neccesarily get ripped off. keep in mind, almost half of what you are paying skunk2 for the short shifter is due to the fact that the side of the short shifter is branded skunk2. you pay for the name.

believe it or not, i think i would trust skunk2 with just about any product. whether it be coilovers, short shifter, or exhaust, skunk2 is known to be reliable and you can hold them to any of their products.

But it is a brand name, lol

I bet if you read up on both of the parts in comparison, you'd see that there's differences in the quality that goes into manufacturing the metal, and the precision that goes into balancing the shiftknob with the shifter.

True, but it is one that works and fits well. I should know, I have it!

Switching to skunk2 single bend when I can.

i got rid of my eBay single bend and got the dual bend. the dual bend works amazing in my '93 sol cause i can rest my arm on the console with my hand on the **** through all gears.

to BlackoutVTi --> Skunk2 has it weighted perfectly with their shift ****. Smooth shifting through all gears.

to OP --> if you want, i can give you a link to an eBay auction where I got my Skunk2 stuff from. the guy is selling the short shifter and the **** in a combo package for only $128.00 shipped. it is genuine Skunk2 also, not just an eBay auction that says its Skunk2 and gives you a NN shifter. it will come in the original sealed boxes, as if you bought both items from Skunk2. let me know, i'll give you the link to the auction.

That's what I meant by my last post.

<<<<Owns a Skunk2 Dual-Bend, and has since been letting the world know about its awesomeness. Obviously, you did not get the memo.
