LED Projector headlights lifetime
Greetings Honda-tech
Since they came out, I've been in love with the 5th gens and have always wanted one. I finally obtained a '98 one that it's original owners treated like crap, and I'm in the process of trying to give it some of the care it deserves.
My question to Honda-tech is, how are the LED projector lights? Do they have a longer lifetime than any of the other varieties? If one goes out, can the bulb(s) be replaced? I want to go for long lifetime, "white light" yet not blinding oncoming drivers.

are u talking about HIDs or HIDKITS or just bright LED bulbs? the LED bulbs alone generally dont last that long, the sylvania ones blow fairly quickly from the reviews. If ur looking for a brighter light, look into a HID retrofit. OEM quality hid's are the ones that have little to no glare because theyre the OEM ones on like the newer model bimmers/benzes/TSX/TL/audi's

contact prelude1897 or go to http://www.myspace.com/bceretrofits and he's got information as well as pricing there if you were to want some. If you had any questions about them he'd be able to tell you. Hope this helps.. not sure about them being LED though.
That's what I was afraid of Dagle. Looks like the HID is still the way to go. Thanks for the info.
By "retrofit," do you mean the conversion kits?

no a retrofit is putting the HID projector and bulb into the housing u have now. so it actually has a different light in there. you also have a ballast which you dont for the stock lighting system. you're RETROFITTING a different light into your housing. good luck
take a look at the link w/ prelude1897's work, he does excellent work for our lights. if u need better lighting for the road when people aren't around like outback and stuff, consider foglights. foglights are cheaper than a retrofit. but retrofit is probably the best way to go for better lighting

Cool, I'll check it out. The loaf before me some how broke the left headlight frame the holds the light in place. Once I get a replacement, I'll look into the retrofit. Not a lot of in-depth info on the LED projector headlights, so thanks for saving me some cash

Thanks again for the comments and for the vouch for my work. To the orignial poster, I can defanitly get you hooked up with a retrofit. Just click the link in my sig. and it'll take you to my myspace page which has alot of pics of my work.
With my retrofits, I use all OEM parts cause they last longer than those cheap aftermarket parts
