CALLOUT: import810 aka Greg Perez from pleasanton
Ok so heres the story, I had been building a sfwd sleeved and fully built motor for my integra. I spent months piecing it together and waiting on the sleeves and porting and polishing of the head and special order parts, a few weeks before I was able to get the motor assembled, my integra was stolen, stripped and then burned in tijuana. We all know how insurance companies are with giving you your money, so I had to get a car in the meantime. I was going to the use the tranny, hondata, and a handful of other things for the new motor but since it was completely stripped and burned, i would have to buy a new chassis and buy all that stuff which meant even more delays on motor assembly and i still wouldnt have a perfect running car anytime soon.
So i posted my motor here on honda tech (http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1987092) and was contacted by Greg Perez with a trade offer for his CLEAN TITLE 1995 Civic Si hatchback with BAR'd/REF'd GSR swap (http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1956035). After looking at his thread, the car seemed legit and he had vouches as well not to mention me being in desperate need of transportation- I made the decision to trade my fully built motor for his clean title hatch.
Original agreement was that he would come down here to San Diego because his sister goes to UCSD and they were gonna visit her. Greg emailed me a week before he wanted to meet up and said he wanted me to meet him up in San Luis Obispo (6 hour drive from San Diego). Me, needing a car, reluctantly agreed. So I drive up there and check out the hatch, it wasnt exactly what you would call clean but nothing that Greg hadnt mentioned in our emails. The car was gutted from the front seats back, the passenger fender was dented, the cf hood was faded, etc. nothing big. Greg had installed the alarm himself and my friends have been doing car audio/stereo installation for about 5 years and offered to clean everything up behind the dash as well as install a new stereo for me. The wires were such a ratnest behind the dash that we decided to remove the dash so that we were able to access everything back there. low and behold, here is what we found..
first off, lets start with the airbag cover that is very deceiving. looks fine from the outside of the dash, underneath- you can see that it is being held down with some sturdy 16 gauge wire at every corner..

onto the lovely inside the dash, this is what we saw when we took off the dashboard. not only were pieces of the actual dash cut off with a saw, but look on..

notice the metal tube support braces behind the dash, or lack of. one was cut inches to where it bolts to the chassis, and the other passenger side was removed completely.

and on to the shifter..

and yes, pieces of the chassis were cut out with what looks to be a saw zaw and then took a COOKIE TIN and DUCT TAPED it to the chassis in the holes' place. notice in the last pic, you can see the ground through the hole. in the hole where the shifter goes through, you can see the exhaust piping and heat shield as well as the ground.

moving outside the cabin, you can see that the door hinges are held to the car via a SCREW. not the oem, pin that actually secures the door. you can pull the screw up and literally, off comes the door.

onto the motor mount, it looks as though the motor mount was also cut off with some kind of saw and was put back to the chassis using everyones favorite.. JB WELD

There were actually more problems that I found out about that I will post pictures of later. I contacted Greg via pm and he would not try to reach a resolution with me about how to solve me trading $6500 worth of motor and parts for a shell that is not fit for the road. Basically, the only reason I had traded was cuz the car was BAR'd for a GSR, now I find out that the shell is pretty much trash and that I'm going to have to spend hundreds to make this car structurally safe and somewhat back to oem specifications. In the trade, the hatch was missing the passenger side (tranny) HASport motor mount. Greg had promised to send it down to me but is yet to do so. Greg has since sold the motor on his local craigslist and has actually blocked me via pm since I threatened to take him to court. I'm only asking for $1000 cash, the motor mount, and the a/c lines/compressor for the gsr motor. If I take him to court, I could sue for the full value that I paid for the motor (around $6300 in receipts). If anyone thinks im being unfair, please pm me and let me know why you think so. If anyone has any other resolutions or can help me in any way in straightening this out. please let me know as well.
Thank you so much for listening.
Very distraught,

your avatar is sick as expletive. thats actually what i was hoping to do with the motor that i traded him- i mean come on, aebs sleeves, pauter rods, cp pistons, skunk2 valves, springs, retainers, stage 3 p&p and victor x on a garrett 60-1.. wouldve been sweet for dd when i roll up on a corvette.
anyways, yea im probably gonna take him to court since hes offered me no resolution to this. well actually, he did offer me a/c lines and a blox intake manifold lol and the manifold was for a b16/type r and the car he sold me has a gsr in it. greg blocked me from pm's, if anyone knows how to get ahold of his father please let me know because the car was in his dads name, so if i take him to court- his dad will be the one getting sued.
