I got a hatch si motor for $$80 and the head was off. well i dont know how to match up the marks and get it top dead center and what not. how do i get all this stuff aligned, because i dont wanna blow my motor up. Oh yeah i have the head too.But i ned to get the cam gear and the pistons all in sync.

 

first theres a white mark on your crank pully, and theres also a mark on the black plastic timming belt cover that kinda sticks out, you line those two marks up, then on you cams theres a little indent mark on the cam gear, and you line this mark with the mark on the black timming cover. eh it would help if someone has pics.
