EK HATCH automatic transmition is shifting only at high rpm's

Default EK HATCH automatic transmition is shifting only at high rpm's

it just started to shift by itself at high rpm's. first gear wont change until 25mph and 2nd gear wont change around 55mph. does anyone have any clue to what this might be?

Sounds to me like the transmission isn't shifting properly - it's only shifting to protect the engine from overreving. I'd take it to a transmission shop/dealer; autos are way complex...

there not that complex. but i doubt ur gonna be able to figure it out on ur own especially if u have never screwed around with an auto tranny. ur best bet is to just take it to a tranny shop. DONT change the oil. if u have never changed the tranny fluid in the tranny and u have high mileage ur going to make the problem worse. there is certain clearances in an auto tranny that must stay the same and when the fluid gets old it causes the clutch paks to stay in position cause the old fluid gets thicker over time and the new fluid is thin which would cause the clearances to get larger which u dont want in an auto tranny.

i've been real busy and i havent had time to look at the thread. but i'm probably going to take it to a transmition shop. i have to put the car into netural then i can shift it into drive or reverse etc... but if its in park it gets stuck
