hey guys, alright heres the skoop. i used to have an SH h22a4 in my 97 lude SH. well it started eating up belts and shooting off Crank pulleys terring the pulleys up in the prosess enough to make them unable to be used again! well after 3 brand new pulleys torqued to specs got shot off one after the other i finaly decided to buy the jdm h22a, which i had already planned to do and this gave me a reason to go through with it. well as some of you no you have to swap out a couple parts from the SH motor into the JDM motor to make it a plug and play situation. well i swaped the oil pump, and the two gears that sit in line with the crank pulley as well as behind the timing covor. well its only been just 3 weeks and all of a sudden my car started making a shaking feeling. so i pulled in my driveway and poped the hood and bam, my power steering belt is almost gone, prolly only hangin on by a few strands and my crank pulley is wiggling just like the old motor did before it decided to launch the pulley off in my engine bay like it were a bottle rocket! i appreciate any help. i searched and nothing about crank pulleys shooting off or even comming loose came up. Thanks in addvance!

 

Look at a parts diagram and make sure you have all the pulleys and washers in the right places and inspect the threads on the crank for the pulley bolt. Also check the Woodruff key and keyway...

!!!dame dog check it out i had the same problem but i leared the hard way i had to buy a h22a bb1 block and head , i recomend not driving it ,what mit be wrong is that your cranckshaft pully or harmonic balacer same sh*t the bolt is threaded or your cranshaft is gone!!* just dont drive it "trust" if thats whats wrong then you need a new cranckshaft or you could try to re-thread were your crankshaft pully bolt goes or you just need a new harmonic balacer ,but if your lude has a lot of ,miles your better of getting
a new engine! if thats whats wrong*/ just take off the crankpully and youll find out whats wrong//
