someone please give me a lesson in alignments-know what i want just not specifics
i have a crx that i am taking to a shop for an alignment. i want 1/8 toe out in the front and to have it zero'ed out in the rear. i just want a better understanding of what is going on so when i tell the tech what i want done i can explain it thoroughly.
Front- ok first off, i see they don't use toe in and out but instead they use + and - so which one is toe out? also they list things in decimal form instead of fractional, so am i looking for .125 degrees? also does both sides need to exact or just as long as they add up to this?
Rear- now in the rear i want it zero'ed out. i see that the specified range is .08-.32 so do i actually want .00 which is outside this range?
Thanks for the lesson

if you use the search tool " toe and camber " in this forum , you will come up with a lot of personal settings from other racers on here.

after talking to the guy who does the alignment for the falken drift cars along with pro stock cars..
I'm going to run a small positive toe up front so the wheels will straighten out just the right amount under hard braking . The car tends to have negative toe in general under hard braking and to much of it can hinder wanted speed.

If you want 1/8 total toe out you want -0.14 total toe. which is -0.07 each side.
You might not want 0.00 in the rear I use just a little +0.01 to +0.02 each side in the rear.
