Default lower ball joint recall question

I have a 97 prelude and I noticed their was a recall on premature lower ball joints wear. I bought my car in 03 and they told me the recalls have been fixed.

My question is: If the lower ball joints go out again. Will they replace it again for free? or is it a one time thing?

Thanks guys

I think they use different ball joints.....but wait for someone to clarify.

yes the lower ball joint recall was in effect because of the way the ball joint was contructed at the factory. The "new" designed ball joint shouldnt have any unusual breakage or failure. Keep checking yours ocasionally because they will need replacing someday.

Ball joints are a wear item. Depending on the the number and type of miles driven on these ball joints, it wouldn't be extraordinary to have to replace them again. If Honda already performed the recall, they will not replace them for free again.

I found it on honda's website. I typed in my car's vin and registered it. Once I did, it showed waht recalls have been done.

Thanks for the input though.
