the black weather strip ontop of the door...u can paint it black again with paint trim paint from autozone but if u match color it to your cars color it might look ugly..

yes, remove ,strip ,clean ,prime, paint(trim paint)

are you talking about the black part, if you are, yes it can be painted. I believe there was also a writeup in here somewhere.

I was able to paint it with touch up trim paint from autozone. Also, if there's white stuff on it, I used goop off to take it off.

Yea, once it get old, it strips to the silver part. Repainting them is the best thing to do. I heard theyre expensive to replace for some reason.

They run about 25 a piece I believe. The duplicolor trim paint is good, i have recently painted my windshield wipers with it and they look fine. Grab a razor and take your time separating the old stuff from the rubber that is pressed against your window.

I've noticed this is a problem among civics...? Is it just the stock paint that honda used or what?

Both sides are doing it, and also same exact thing on my girlfriends 00' Ex
