Default my engine is making weird noise.

so yesterday my car was running fine.
i mean i got it all fixed.
it was the 1st time since a month or 2 ago.
well while i was driving home my car lost some power.
well i thought it was the ac. so i turned it off.
it still felt like it had no power to it.
so i turned down my raido and it sounded like an exshut leak.
i check it and nothing. then i rev the engine again and i hear the noise from under my hood.
idk what it is.
so my 1st guess would be "hey im going to check out under the vaule cover. maybe something i can see from inside there will show me what wrong.
well then idk why but i decide to touch the inside.
then i notcied that only one of them moves when i push it a lil. not to hard though just barely.
i circled it in green to show everyone what it is that im talking about.

this is a far look

take a closer look?

so can someone tell me what to do or help me out here plz?

those are the rocker arms that open the valves - most of the time, one or the other of them will be tight - when the intake valve goes through its' cycle of opening and closing it will be tight while the one for the exhaust valve will be loose - once it starts into overlap where the intake hasn't completely closed and the exhaust has started to open, both will be tight - when the intake valve closes, it will be loose and the one for the exhaust will be tight - when both the intake and exhaust valves are closed when the engine is at top dead center on that cylinder, both will be loose - since the ones you have marked are both exhaust, they should both be either loose or tight

1) Could be you need to adjust your valves.

You removed your valve cover and all. With a feeler guage check your clearences on valves by turning your motor over. 1, 3 whatever. They open and close on intake (close to firewall) and exhaust (close to radiator). When spring is compressed its open. Check all of them.

OR

2) You spun a bearing. Don't rev high, you could damage your crank. Or worse.

First climb under the car and listen over by the oil pan. Run motor at like 3k (put a screwdriver at your throttle cable) and listen again it should be louder, then its your 'rod bearings'.

Drain Oil.
Take off oil pan.
Take off rod caps and replace bearings.
Turn your motor over at the crank to get to them.

Don't worry about pulling on rods, because piston rings will prevent them from falling out.

You don't have to take off crank gridle or oil pickup to get to them unless you really want to.

Make sure you note a 'letter' on the rod journal and 'number' on the rod and match them to the color. Its green or yellow etc.

Also, make sure before you put them in GREASE THEM REALLY WELL with engine lube.

you know i took off my timing belt cover and i realized that the ppl that worked on my car fuq up on the timing belt job. so im going back to them and make sure they do it right. also i have one last question. could a timing belt that messes up be the cause of my engine losing power?

yes a bad or improper installed timing belt can lead to lack of power, like the timing could be out. Does the car idle rough? how is your gas milage? and I see that you have dual port injection (d15b7 I think) so you cant expect to much as power goes but gas milage is great for them. but like someone already said you should check valve clearance and adjust them if needed. Honestly thou I would just ripp that pos dual port out and replace it with a d16a6 or zc you would be alot happier in the end. just my .02 cents

Sounds to me like the exact same thing i had going on with my ride a week ago. Turns out that the timing belt tensioner was way out of adjustment and that was causing the timing belt to slap the inside if the timing cover. I had it adjusted and had the belt replaced while they were in there. I also had the valves adjusted, but the tensioner was definitely what was making the noise.
Id have the "mechanic" check that out.
One piece of advice for you though... dont go in there and let them think that you dont know what you're talking about... otherwise, they may try to sell you **** that you really dont even need.
Either way, let us know what happens and what you find out.
Good Luck!!!

check cam timing....
pin point whether the noise is coming from inside or outside of the engine.....
any internal knocking is not good....valve lash being out of spec will make a ticking noise not so much a knock...
if i were you id do a compression check as a start...

so heres the update everyone.
well i took it back to the shop and the guy took off the timing belt cover. i watched him the whole time. well it was like it is lose. i went up to it and pull a lil on it and it moved really badly. not to the point where it would of fell off or nething but it was good enough. the guy fixed it and checked the timming on it. so now it run fine i believe. im going to drive it hard soon to see if it still has a loss of power or anything. ill give you more updates later on tonight
