REMOVING POWER STEERING?!
my ex totalled my slo and i'm in the process of resurrecting her. in the crash the power steering reservoir got smashed and i really have no desire to replace it cuz it handles better without it. my only concern is the rack and pinion steering, will it get screwed up if i don't fix this? i also have a bent steering pulley which isn't a problem as long as i don't have power steering. help?

Do it the half-assed way - just loop the lines coming from the rack - that'll be enough.
Padawan I think it is sells conversion kits (from PS to non-PS) to "do it the right way."
The REAL right way would be to put a manual steering rack in there.

i have been interested in doing this for some time but i am not sure which way to do it, what advantages to each have, and the whole manual steering rack thing confuses me abit how does it work and how would i put one in, is there a kit?
thanks. sorry if i am thread jacking but i thought that since it is along the same lines i would ask.
