93 Si EFI relay??
I just bought a 93 Si that's been sitting for 4 years. I've put a couple hundred miles on it. More and more often after driving it a bit then shutting it off when you try to re-start it the fuel pump isn't coming on. If you let it sit a while and then turn the key on-off-on-off it will eventually engage the pump. I'm assuming its the EFI relay going out, correct? And if so where is this thing located?
Everything is coming on, the car will even start for about 3 seconds then it dies due to lack of fuel. I took the back seat out so I could hear when the pump isn't engaging. When you hear the pump engage before you start it the car will run forever, but as soon as you shut it off it won't start again unless you let it sit for quite awhile. I hear a relay on the drivers side engage all the time when I start it, I also hear one that seems to be coming from behind the glovebox. When I don't hear the one on the pass. side the fuel pump hasn't engaged. I can hear the relay click off as soon as the pump shuts off when you turn the key to on but don't start the car. This would be when the pump is presurizing the system before you start it. And yes I've looked the the relay/fuse box and all around under the hood...I can't find it.
