Default Sticking a Turbo in my Acura

This is my first post here, be gentle. I am new to car tuning/modifying and was wondering what I need in order to stick a turbo on my 99 Integra LS? Do I need to get the whole intercooler, turbo and tons of pipes and stuff or can I minimize the cost and only get the turbo and the minimal stuff? I just need some general info.

What you need to do is search and not make a new post about a question that has been beat to death so many times.

Excuse RedDAInteg, he must be a total douche and didn't read the part where you said you were new to cars and modifying and this forum as well. Most everything you want to ask can be found using the search feature, but often times, the trial members like yourself are unaware of the search function and how you can use it. Also like RayRay said, you can learn more about turbos in the forced induction section of Honda Tech, you don't have to post solely in the Integra section. Don't let that first response make you think everyone on H-T is that way, although 90% of the people on this site would rather raise there post counts by saying non-technical bull **** and just bashing someone who usually has a genuine question and does actually need help, rather than actually posting something useful or just keeping quiet when nothing should be said anyways. Well sorry for the long post, but you question has many aspects to it and before we can fully help you, you need to make a plan so we can narrow down your options. Were you looking for a dyno queen (big HP numbers) or a something you can take to the track and beat, or a daily driver? How big of a turbo, what size trim/exhaust housing..etc, how much boost would you like to run? All of these things will play a role in the type of setup that will suit you best. Good luck in your seach and get back to us when you have a little more info for us

Wow, you didn't have to go name calling now. EVERYTHING you said in the entire story you just typed was basically what I said in a simple sentence. I didn't bash him or anyone else and you didn't have to also.

You aren't flaming here? I'm sorry I missed the part where you gave him legitimate advice. How is a person who just recently joined this site supposed to know what threads have and have not been beaten to death. All you have to do is be mature and courteous, of which you did neither. I don't normally call people names but in this case you are particularly deserving.

You want flaming? OK...

You need to shove your hand down a disposal until all you have left is a stub where your arm should be.

Take your "technical stuff" and start another site b/c this site already has pretty much everything you need to know about honda's.

OP: Click on the Search button on the top of the page. It's red for a reason

Relax guys. I'll have to do a bit more research to be able to answer all your questions to help me figure out what I need MilanoRed. I'm pretty sure I don't need a dyno queen or anything for the track. I'm more of a casual daily drive who just wants to be able to trash random local people at a red light. (Does that make sense?) As far as trim/exhaust housing etc goes...well, like I sid, I'm new. I'm not at home now so I can't take a look at my car and see exactly what I have. I'm curious though, what are the different levels of "boost" and the associated cost in getting that boost?

If you are only looking into a daily driver with moderate power, you may be able to run a full kit with stock internals around 6-8 PSI. If you want a little more power, you can turn up the boost to around 12-15ish PSI but you will need to build the bottom end and get the head worked on, as well get a good tune. There is so much more than the few things I have stated, I'm just hoping to point you in some sort of direction.

Telling him to USE THE SEARCH FEATURE was not legitamate advice ??! ALSO ANY NEW PERSON WILL KNOW WHAT TO DO BY READING THE 4 STICKY'S at the top of this forum! Because you didn't know either it has "FAQ" which for you stands for Frequently Asked Questions, also there is a "Hi, Im new, Welcome me to HT" and two others.

This is the only comment I said before you had to go calling people names, is this considered flaming ?

I don't think so, but than you had to be Mr.Smartass and call another honda-tech member an "*******".

Honestly, You are the one looking like a an "******* right now", calling me and another member douches for no reason. Before you tell anyone else to "grow up", why don't you grow up first.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by MilanoRed_dc2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If you are only looking into a daily driver with moderate power, you may be able to run a full kit with stock internals around 6-8 PSI. Also the so called advice you are giving is totally misleading. IF you don't know what you are talking about(MilanoRed_dc2) than don't post anything! 6-8psi ? 12-15psi ? So with the misleading information you stated he can run a gt42 on 6-8psi or 12-15psi on his stock block ? Trying giving COMPLETE information if you plan on giving ANY information. Thanks for throwing a noob in a completely wrong direction douchebag.
