downpipe question

Default downpipe question

I just need to know things i know its gonna be newbs question but any help would be good.
My DA turbo the thing is that the downpipe is against the oil pan is it safe for me to drive it cause the downpipe is touching the oil pan.

You can drive, but don't hold boost until you get some sort of heat shield. On top of that, I wouldn't drive very far at all. Sustained freeway speeds get EGTs high enough to make a oil frying pan.

There is some reflective metallic tape I've seen on some cars. Don't know what it's called. I just remember seeing it on a friend's Talon a long time ago. If this were my car, I'd modify the downpipe to curve further from the oil pan, cover it with exhaust wrap, and maybe even use a shield for the oil pan. Heat is the real killer of oil.
