the 3 stage system has no cutting action in the cleaner or polish and is pretty useless IMO.

Thanks for all the input. I have 3m Perfect It Rubbing compound. Will that work well on cutting? I have a Makita rotary buffer, but I dont know what pads to use. I want to use all foam pads. Anywhere I can get them for a good deal? And what brand? I know rotary is very dangerous for a beginner, but Im a little experienced. I also have a Dual Action buffer as well. I wanna cut with the rotary and then polish with the DA. I want to get a PC but dont have money. Thanks

There's videos on how to use basically all of their products.

I've been using 3m compounds for many years with great success. The easy clean up final finish polish rocks.

You spelt Menzerna wrong but ya anything made by menzerna is the **** but is damn expensive, but well worth it.

3M is good too, but Menzerna is in a whole different league.

Optimum and Poorboy are great alternative options too because they are relatively cheap in price, but they perform equally as great! Optimum has a little bit less dusting than some Poorboy products so you have to experiment.

yea I spelt it wrong lol.

I love using my optimum compounds because as you said there is very little splatter or dust. Between Optimum, all the Megs stuff I have , and the finesse it 2 3m that I have, I use the Optimum most of the time.

polish with the rotary too, just use a less agressive pad. I only use the DA for applying wax/glaze/sealants, otherwise you will spent 3 times polishing than you would with a rotary.
