Default lets face it more hp does'nt make you all that quick

well iv'e seen civic that weigh like 1500 pounds run only 9 their was this video of a aruba crx run 7 but that not my point. see the way i see it it only takes a certian amount hp in car to move it that quick so that extra 200 hp is their just to burn the tire out and loose traction. What you guys think? not drag expert but seem close.

What is your address so I can send you a bomb! Do you realize the traction issues that come with having front wheel drive. And believe it or not quasi moto just cause a car weighs 1500lbs doesn't mean it will compete with John Force, lighter isn't always better. The more weight you remove especially in the front end the harder it is to get the traction. Thats part of the glory of the sport. Getting the 330 figured out. SLAP YOURSELF!

yeah but dude excellent point but now let me tell you i know what you exactly mean it's just that well **** even if you do the math and macth hp your car can only be pushed to a certian limit of speed. but yet such great chaiis like rx7 it's just matter of time for engineers to try slove it it's hard math you know feel me.

in order to have a car to pick it up all i'm trying to say is that civic can't go all that great but what i know abouty the engineer dynamics then agian go to street fire and their crx running 7 just type aruba crx. so i guess lighttest of them all can run a 7

I don't feel you and wouldn't want to feel you even if you were in the same room. The horsepower is reflected in the mph. Thats why if you compare the mph of an import, to the same mph of a muscle car, I'll bet 99 times out of a 100, that muscle car is going to have the quicker et. Why? A few reasons, 1)drag racing started with them so they have a few decades of r&d behind them. 2) turbos are pretty much all top end power. And those are just the ones I can think of quickly.

7..... what? Do you realize Stephanie Eggum is heavier than a CRX and ran 7's last year. Why I oughtta reach through this monitor and choke you! Furthermore, here in AMERICA, we have rules, you know like WEIGHT, and oh I don't know maybe a turbo limit. The guys over seas can run the biggest turbo they want and no one is going to care. The rules make for and even playing field. Or suppose to. Thats how it's suppose to work but there is always someone to cry!

First off your grammar is horid, but from what i could understand it seems you think the only reason a car is fast is because its light. Have you thought about the countless hours of suspension tweaking and weight balance? Also your kind of right on the power thing except it is beneficial to have more power because it helps pick up time at the top end of the track like he said. A rwd car running 10seconds will have a lower trap speed than 99% fwd running that same 10seconds. As long as its somewhat reliable and usable power than make as much as possible then go out and get seat time and practice.../rant over

I am just going to throw this out there, why is it that whenever people can't think of anything that funny to say, they all the sudden become english majors and start calling people out on the fact they can't type. Go easy on the poor lad, for he does try so hard..../rant over But I do thank you for backing up my points I made. But the fact that this dude is an incomplete husky toolbox doesn't change.

that's what I just said said no matter how much hp you have to tune the vechile dynamics. But what i'm saying is that civic or honds in genrall can only be pushed to certian limit. and no I never knew that with the whole rgulation thing but why it's drag strip america always protects but in end it's hurtin. danm lol

I'm sorry but all I read was, "I think I am a Physics professor but really I am an *** hat!" And let me remind you of something lad, you made the comment of weight being a factor yet I stated a heavier car going equally fater so where is this point you are trying so hard to prove when I just showed you that you are a reject. ANd let me be more specific before you say something even dumber to further **** me off. She went 7.9 and weighed 1900lbs with a turbo restriction. So your way off base young man.

That 7 sec crx is a rwd tube with just the crx chasis whaoo. You can do that with a datsun body if you want to.

I do believe you are correct Dave. The crx is a tube-framed car, powered by a 4G63 with a GT45R. So to the OP please try to compare apples to oranges.

kthxbye

Are you shitting me? You meant to tell me the whole time this clown was talking **** he was referring to a RWD CRX with a NON-HONDA MOTOR! I'll be damned. WHO'S THE SUCKER NOW! I totally fell for that arguement. Either way he is still a tool!!!
