iacv problem
i have a 91 hatch with a z6 in it and when i start it it idles at like 200 rpms and wants to die when i give it gas. then when the motor does die the iacv makes a high pitched humming noise. can any one tell me why? also how do i check cel codes when i have an obd0 car with an obd1 ecu? any help is appreciated thanks.
also right after the motor starts the cel comes on then it stays on. if i turn the key off the light goes off untill i start the motor again and it dies. anyone know what this could mean?

That means your CEL is ON! (not to bash you but that Q. was pretty dumb) If you convertd to OBD 1 your should know what pin numbers on the ECU jump together to get your CEL to flash whatever code it has stored.
If you converted your car to OBD 1 w/o out even knowing about the CEL.....then man your in over your head and need tech to help you out so you don't mess anything up. This is a perfect example why it is SOO important to research thoughly before doing work to your car that is over your head.
