People buy extended lugs because they are running wheel spacers. If that's the case, then you should also be using the extended studs. If you aren't using wheel spacers, then you don't need extended studs or lugs.

That guy is an idiot. Look at the studs - the necks are knurled to match the hub splines. There is no way they can rotate unless you somehow shear off the splines.
So no, you definitely don't need to weld anything. I should know, I installed mine last weekend. These studs are exactly like the factory studs, only longer.

Did some research - I guess spot-welding is "recommended" with any aftermarket wheel studs. Nobody does it though. If you ever had a problem with them rotating, you could always go back later and tack them to the hub through the front, then notch the rotor for clearance where it would touch the weld.
But none of that really matters. People install extended studs every day and nobody welds them. I can't even find any archived threads on the issue.

Just did even more research via google - looks like nobody on planet Earth bothers to tack weld them. If you were really worried about it, you could always coat the splines with JB weld before pressing them in. But again, I wouldn't sweat it.
Damn, are you for real? Someone else wanted 4 but I said no because I thought I'd never find another person on Earth to buy just 4...
Ask Frank_2.0L if he still wants 4. If so, you each get 4.
