Weird problem occured today some help?
So today i got done replacing my calipers and was doing the whole bleed thing, when it hit me, to just let my car run for awhile, it hasn't ran since sunday and i always like to just run my car for alittle if it sits.
So i start my car and it idles fine, of course when i first start it up,it always needs alittle love tap of the peddle to get to the idling rpm. Well when i hit this "love tap" I made a spitting and sputter noise , and noise i haven't heard in over 3 years?? Like it was running only 3 cyl's , i immedenitly shut the car off and pulled the plugs.. 4-2 were pitch black, as if they were running rich, and cyl1 wasn't even firing i pulled its plug out and its dripping gas, WTF?
I pulled the valvecover off thinking i broke something sunday, because i did do a few runs on the interstate. Nothing, cams and everything in time, all lashes are correct etc etc.
So it hit me, i slip the timing light on the wires and start testing, sure enough cyl1 wire isn't firing... So i check the dizzy, i clean the cap and rotor with some chemb12 and the connectors for the wires and the hook ups. Crank the car over and start pulling the plugs wires again seems their all firing, i rev it up and it revs up smooth All cyl's firing.
I just came back... inside. from spending 3 hours doing this, a buddy of mine said it could have been a stuck open injector, but i've never heard of that before, and i even pulled the rail off the itbs and primed them, they fire fine.
Still kindof weird, maybe i just need a retune, most of yall know about this heat wave down here, today it reached around 110, in louisiana folks thats hellish hot.. all the plugs are pitch black, and i smell gas out the exhaust so i know its running hella rich. Just for ***** and giggles, i did a compression test while the car was semi warmed up, 270 across the board...
Any thoughts i think i need a new set of wires and possible a retune, other then that i dont know any thoughts?

So the number 1 plug wire was not getting any juice through it? cannot be a stuck injector.... it would still get spark just the same. Sounds like something going on with either that wire or dist cap.

Thats what i thought, i am goin to get awhole new set of wires, i'm due for it, been almost 3 years..But just this morning before the wife and i left for work i cranked her up again, idled smooth and fine, revved up fine too, i pulled number cyl1 plug out and its not soaked in gas anymore its firing, but its all black like the others now, so its just running insanely rich and for what reason i have no clue why.. sunday the wideband read 14.5 at idle.. now i'm sure its in the 12/11 AFR range and i dont know how it happened..i even double checked the map, still the same, and the test light wasn't just having problems on cyl1, it was having problems on all of them this morning but the car ran fine, i pulled each plugwire and the car did slow down so their all firing i just dont know what it could be, i'm hoping just bad wires.
