can 9006 bulb be modified to fit h4 socket???

can 9006 bulb be modified to fit h4 socket???
just like the topic said...i have a set of 9006 hid's, but my headlights i just got have h4 bulbs in them...is it that hard to modify the 9006's to fit, or should i just get the h4 kit?
