I remember I was gonna do this like a year ago, and now its definitely needed since I got turned down for an alignment. They said the outters need to be replaced, but since I have new inner/outter I figure I will do both..
Anyway I remember running into a problem with the inner and the boot, what do I need to take off the inner rod??

this is why i recommend just taking the whole rack out when dealing with inner tie rods. it really is much easier.
if you still insist on doing this with it still under the car, i recommend a few things. of course unbolt the rack completely from the subframe in order to get more room. also, the axle, lca, and swaybar are all in the way of getting to that locknut. so, take the time to remove the swaybar. it helps a lot.
i usually just buy a new lock washer and wrench it off completely with an adjustable crescent wrench around the folded lock washer and tie rod. saves me the trouble of having to unbend them.
good luck.

Thanks but I actually just ended up figuring it out myself messing with it and saved the lock washers surprisingly.
On the other hand I am having alot of trouble with the rack end bushing, im pressing it in on both sides and I can see the bumps are not in the holes, but when I try and pry it out on one side, the other side falls back into place, and if I try both sides I cant move it.
I know you have plenty of experience with this Tyson lol, what is the easiest way youve figured out?

i push one side in, and slide it over the hole, like in the rotating it around. its usually enough to keep it "unlocked" as it do the same on the other side.

hardest part of the job was getting the lock washers off, thought it woulda been the rack bushing. Just couldn't get a good angle 90% of the time for unbending them, or loosening the inner rod with a 11/16.
Like you said the if I messed around with the sway bar I could have gotten a way better angle.
