knocking noise of some sort...HELP

Default knocking noise of some sort...HELP

Okay my car is making a sound that sound like metal against metal... but the thing is when the cluch in engaged it goes away when im driving it sounds louder same is when its in no gear and i rev it up it makes the noise louder. the thing i dont understand is why does it go away when the clutch is engaged... help i have engine oil... what else could it be?

had the same prob with my 99 civic...i took it to honda because i couldnt figure it out...i had a busted exhuast braket...it was the one that bolted onto the tranny..i had it taken off, honda said it wasnt needed...the noise went away
