need help...

Default need help...

i took off the head on my sohc vtec... the block-TDC.. i hope the head was too. i got the head resurface, cleaned up, and new seals... due too a blown head gasket. but i got the head back and not on TDC.. how do i make the head go back to TDC with the block and what i need to know before putting the head back on and starting the car??? this is my first time.... need help plzz.

the cam gear has marks on it to indicate the TDC position for reintalling the head

also, you will have to readjust the valves once you get it back together.

i think the valves r adjusted.. i think but not sure.. how do i know??

Pull off your Valve cover and gauge them. it takes like 15 minutes.

they arent...

the cam was removed so they need to be at least checked and the head has to be torqued to the block and the timing belt on.

how i loosen the cam to turn to TDC??

dont loosen it, just spin it with the cam gear on
