Default 4th gen jdm h22a NEEDS HELP!!!

Hey guys,

My car has been bogging a lot lately. when i drive normally it feels like it is backfiring and the revs aren't smooth. I try to floor it and it putts for a little usually around 2-4k rpms and then starts moving. at idle the revs seem smooth but when i drive it feels like it doesn't want to go then changes it's mind when i pass 4k rpm.

has this happened to anyone before?

I have changed the injectors and that fixed it for a while, then it came back, replaced ignition wires and spark plugs but didn't help, also changed fuel filter a few months ago, is there anything i should check out???

thanks

I actually had the same problem, but now I'm trouble shotting others. The latest thing is when I start my car the Check Engine Soon light comes on for appx 20 secconds, shuts off, and then the car stalls. I'm leaning toward the fuel pressure area. What do you think?

what injecter set up did you use for your swap... did you just swap the s injectiors over? I left the H22a's injectors (we had a complete JDM harness)

I have this same problem my Lude has 100k clicks on it. I blamed it on the cam gears weren't set up right.

what is the EGR and where is it located in the Engine?

I used the h22a injectors. the motor is an obd1. I just switched to chevron gas (91 octane in Kali) and put some prolong fuel system treatment in it, and it seems to bog less now but it does STILL bog once in a while. do you guys think it can be the fuel filter? <---i replaced 3 months ago?<--(for my first engine swap.) then I put in the h22 and used the 3month old fuel filter.

the egr is kind of a gold thing with a vacuum line and a sensor plug coming out of it. if you follow the fuel rail you should see it at the end. i believe its on the left.

check the EGR and also O2 sensor. O2 (oxigen) sensor can cause same problems.
same happened to my friend.
