Default Dilema, which car should i keep?

Whats up new to HT, but i have a dilema and need some advice. I have a 00 Honda civic coupe, 100% stock, but i have a GSR swap ready to be transplanted in. On the other hand i just bought a 98 Honda Prelude for very cheap but it needs a new tranny. The prelude is also dropped already and has a full exhaust, a loud as hell exhaust.
I love the looks and handeling of the lude, its baby blue so it also gets a good amount of attention. If i keep it i would buy a LSD tranny for it. However, i would also love to have a swapped civic, which is lighter and i feel has more potential for work, such as boost down the line. I have the exhaust and straight pipe for the civic, but i would still need a header, clutch, flywheel, shift linkage, axels and mounts to swap it in. So which to keep? Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.

I think after it's all done you'll like the civic more. If I were you I'd sell the prelude and drop all the money into the civic. I might just be biased though cause I don't really like preludes.

well the civic has much more potential. The handling of the prelude is superior to start with...but again, it can be eclipsed by the civic in that department too.

The prelude has a loud exhaust, so i would dump that....or get a quieter exhaust. I think the prelude is overall a "nicer" car. The civic has more potential to go fast, though.

I just hate loud exhausts..lol... They're so annoying. I always hear ricers driving around all loud around here. You dont get much more power than a quieter exhaust like...say...a world sport.

Also, dont use a straight pipe on the civic. You'd see more benefits from an exhaust with a cat. One of them: being able to breath in 20 years.

if the lude was a 4th gen lude, w/h22 i would probably keep it, but since its a 98 i wouldn't bother messing with it. My buddy had a 97 lude and the car just felt too big and heavy.

The civic is a better car overall, handling power (with the gsr motor), and looks. Though if you want stand out a little the lude will do well. Also the theft rate for the lude is somewhere around 10%, civic's theft rate 90% even in stock form. GL bro...

*p.s. i have a 99 civic and love it to death

thats another way you can go...but if your dont know too much about swapping in motors blah blah blah then i would keep it simple and keep the civic/gsr combo. Sell the lude for whats its worth, roughly 4-6k depending on too much stuff to list haha but basically you can do alot more with the civic/gsr bro.

Make the prelude your nice, clean daily driver, and put all speed demon mods into the civic with the GSR. That's what having TWO cars is all about!

Stock Civic w/GSR > '98 Prelude with baby blue paint, a drop and loud full exhaust.

I'd pick the Civic in a ******* heartbeat.

Btw, this would have made a good poll thread.

i'd take the motor out of the lude, throw it into the civic, and keep the gsr on the side just in case for the civic
