I'm goin thru the same thing right now. I was replacing my ball joints today and found that my driverside axle boot is busted. so I'm going to get both new shafts. from what I've read they're the same for auto and manual. but I could be wrong. I got a 5 spd so I'm tryin to find what kind of tranny fluid I should use when I replace them.

The axles are the same, the half shaft is different. I used the stock axles with just the 5 spd half shaft when I did my auto to manual conversion so from experience theres no doubt there the same.

Honda Manual Transmission Fluid. Or if you don't want to spend the money then 10w-30 oil works.
