i ordered a driver side 96 teg ls driver side axle and it looks like a half shaft on the half shaft side of the axle.it looks prefectly like a b series axle except for the that part.i check two of them.should i order a 2000 si axle?has anyone bought an axle from advance before and faced the same problem?

Re: advance auto axles?
They either give you a '94-01 Integra right axle by mistake, or they gave you a '90-93 Integra left axle, which has a male inner joint. The correct '94-01 Integra left axle will have a female inner joint, obviously.
Remanufactured axles from Advance Auto Parts (as well as most other chain parts stores such as AutoZone) are usually junk anyway. I've lost count of how many I've seen start clicking straight out of the box. New axles from Raxles, Driveshaft Shop, EMPI, Mevotech, Aftermarket Products, etc. are usually a better choice. The only remanufactured axles I would buy are genuine Honda remans.

Wow I thought i was the only person that had a 94-01 tranny with a 90-93 half shaft. Took me a while to figure it out too. I had to con my way into getting the correct one for free with the life time

Re: advance auto axles?
Well I just asked around town if anybody had a lifetime warranty on some hydro ls axles and I found somebody that told me I could use there info to get some free axles. This is before I realized I had a cable tranny half shaft. So I go up to vatozone and exchange the axles using his name. I go to match them up and, of course, they are different. So after an hour or so of debating they told me I could "have my money back for the driver side axle" Then I just used that money and went to another store and bought the right driver axle.
Tada, free axles.
Tada, free axles.
