What would i have to go through to get 300-350 whp out of a F23a?
Let me know what i need to do. I think the engine has a little over 100k on it, 110, 120, something like that.
What type of turbo, what would i need rebuilt, just... what would i neeD?
Let me know guys, thanks!

I personally don't know how much a f23a can hold.. PSI wise. But commonly, to add a Turbo onto a NA vehical requires a few things such as: (Not limited too)
1. Bigger fuel injectors
2.Intercooler
3. Anthing else a turbo requires (i.e.: a waste gate//BoV)
4. Better Rods//pistons//piston rings//gaskets
5. Bigger down pipes//header//exhaust system.
6. Of course you'll need to change a few things with your ECU... and/or other computers inside your car due to the increase in airflow.
7. I'd recommend a SAFCII Computer, so you can up your fuel(Or lower the level) when ever you need too. And also moniter your car.
Of course the list goes on, but adding a turbo onto a NA motor is not cheap, and/or easy--depending on your skill level.
Side note: I don't do much work with NA motors, but I know you'll need those things for starters.

A few mods you could do if you decide not to go the Turbo route is:
1. Preventive maintainence
2.Header
3.exahust
4. CAI///SRI
5. You could also "Board over" your engine to a certain level.
6. Better Rods///pistons
7. Suspenion modifications
8. Maintained///updated Breaking system
If you wanted.. you could even slap in a NoS system, and take out your backseat///passenger seat--if you're going to the extreme.
And again.. these are just some of the many things you could do.. just off the top of my head.

What the hell is a "board over"? You put a board over the engine? And that makes it faster how?
personally i wouldnt BORE it out any cuz its a good block with nice iron sleeves
but the head cant flow for ****, PLUS its sohc,
my suggestion, HEAD SWAP FTW, you can use an H22 or H23 head
bleh ,search for the G23 engine

ok its at the top in the accord faq, but it will only require a little machining and a few other odds and ends, but should put you around or over 200, then you can boost for the rest maybe port and polish the donor head?

ninja edit, yeah u will be at 200WHP
really, id suggest the Kseries over anything, unless its the 3.5L V6 from a TL type S anda 6SPD MT

i think you mean turbo motors.. NA is naturally aspirated.
also with the right turbo set up, tune and a h2x head you'd be able to get to 300whp.

I have been out of the car scene for about 4-5 years now due to school and other things. I have a 98 Honda Accord and since its paid for I been researching boosting it. After seeing this forum I think Im going to turbo my F23a motor. And would like to know all the details to reach 400-450. What upgrades/parts
Thanks Tony
Thanks Tony

to boost your car you don't necessarily need the following:
2.Intercooler- you can boost w/o this; however, it does help.
4. Better Rods//pistons//piston rings//gaskets- you don't need to "start" boosting
5. Bigger down pipes//exhaust system.- this would be efficent, but again it is not req'd for boost.

I hear alot of talk on here about engine work but I haven't seen anything about engine management. That to me (and for him too) is a critical step. I've been researching some viable options but for those boosted folks what's your suggestion?
