it's hard to catergorize which is the most powerful.
H and K series will have to be up there IMO, but it all depends on the type modification you plan on doing.

once again it all depends on the type of car ypu are planing on making. N/A, FI, and so on. IMO, any b-series will do fine.

my car is a 94 dx hatch that needs much replacing.

i was just asking for a heads up on a not-so-exspensive potential engine thats got good kick and maybe even plans for forced induction in the future.

if you plan on going FI, then this is what i suggest (starting with the cheapest).
B18B
B16A
B18C.

Don't look at any K-series engines if you want something cheap. Even if you get one for free, they're not that cheap to swap in compared to other engines.

Nonsense, K-series swaps can be done for $3000.

So as some people on the forum will digress.

Yes, K-series is an expensive route. Every budget k-series swapper I've met has yet to get back to me on how "uber-cheap" their swap was.

The k24 won't directly swap in to any car before 01. It requires a lot of special parts. Mount brackets, Drilling holes in the firewall to run cable shifters, custom or modified header, tuning/k-pro, axles etc etc. It all adds up to be $8000-10,000. The cheapest I've heard a budget k-swap done for was about $5000 with the installed already having a lot of the parts. A Frankenstein k-swap is likely to be even more-so expensive.

A fantastic engine, and well worth it if you have the money. But Unless you have deep pockets, don't plan on it being anywhere near cheap or bang for the buck.
