Double check my rebuild parts list b18c1
ok so my piston rings are shot!
but i t gives me a good reason to rebuild my bottom end
heres all the parts im goign to get together for next week:
Helms manual
Gaskets:
Front main
Rear main
Oil pan
Bearins:
crank journals
Rod ends
Oil pump
Water pump
JDM ITR pistons
JDM ITR piston rings ( or can i order any honda ring set for thats the appropriate size)
Timing belt tensioner ( timing belt was replaced less than a year ago along with a head refreshment)
MACHINE WORK
Just taking the block to get hot tanked to get it real clean and have it honed, unless they tell me that its out-of-round then i guess i dont have a choice but to bore it out some.
the engine is a b18c1 with 98k on it
ok so thats what i got, am i missing anything let me know
also would replacing my gsr pistons for some jdm itr force to have to get it tuned?
the build will hopefully start in a week.

How about a new headgasket??
To make everything easy buy a bottom end and top end gasket kit. It'll include most of the gaskets but there may be a few you're still missing.
You'll need to get new head bolts as well since OEM are one time use only, I'd go ARP since they're reuseable.
Save up a bit and do the 0.25mm overbore (or 0.5mm for aftermarket pistons).

for now everything will be stock other than the itr pistons
also the head was rebuilt by the previous owner not too long ago, timing belt, head gasket was replaced along with valve seals
BUT... if i have to bore out my cylinders say .10 over for 81.25mm pistons would the stock head gasket still work, or will i need a new oversize one?
