Default ls turbo route

i have decided to go turbo my ls...... thing is i been doing a lot of research i read around and many ppl say its better to have the engine stock and turbo it.... would the engine hold up? and i read u can easy reach 200hp i am thinking bout round 250hp and i know with a turbo that would be cake only thing is how much boost would that take and would it effect any if i have a I/H/E and have the engine turbo ??? only thing i am worry bout is the internals be good enough to hold for that much hp i'm looking for?

I/H/E and a ENGINE turbo?

your old Header and Intake will be replaced by the Turbo Setup. Might want to get a 3" exhaust also.

250WHP on a stock block isnt unheard of but its always good to upgrade to stronger internals for a turbo setup.

get it Tuned, dont just bolt on the turbo and boost

You can run 8-10 pounds all day long with no problems with a decent tune. My friend ran 12 pounds for years. Id stay at 8-10 which should put you at around 260ish

ive seen all the way up to 25 psi of boost without a sleeved engine and pistons and rods. if you go higher you may need to change springs and start changing the pcv system but as far as internals go you need to REALLY be careful on a tune. detonation is what kills engines...
