google civic hoslet.
it can be done. spool time depends on what turbo you have and what bods.
hoslets are a common diesel engine turbo off og the cumming/dodge pick up trucks.

Yes it can be done, lots of people have done it. That's the only turbo I use due to price and results. They are tough turbos. You can get a hx35 and BEP hot side to get better spool time. I love my holset turbo. If your only going to boost low 8-12psi get a turbo that better suited for your engine. Holset are capable of over 30 plus psi.

Re: diesel turbo ls civic?
exhaust housing doesn't look to big there is a # stamped on the inside of the ex inlet what is it? There should be a tag on the comp housing of what it is. Is it t3 or t4 flange? got any pics straight at the comp housing? from the looks of it looks like a hy35 which is smaller and comes with a 9cm2 housing.

Try sticking with the common used holsets like h1c, hx35, hx40, h1e. Not all holset will have t3 flange. When sourcing a holset make sure it has a t3 /t4 housing. Makes install more pnp.
What does it say on the plate for that turbo. Should have an id number.

hy35 hx35/40 h1c 90's dodge trucks. I'm gonna try a hx55 on my next setup with a aftermarket ex housing. I would look into seein is anyone makes a smaller ex housing for it.
