fuel pressure problem
so i just got my z6 swap done in my 91 hatch and when i turn the key on the fuel squirts out of the return line at the end of the fuel rail. can anyone tell why that would do that? Also there is a vacuum line on the throttle body that i cant figure out where it goes can anyone help with that? any help would be greatly appreciated.
here is a pic of the vaccum line.

that is a vacuum line that connects to the charcoal canister. it should be a red braided hose.
i removed the canister so i capped that port. doing that *may* fix your idle problem.
fuel squirt i don't know

it's the sudden surge of fuel pressure. i got a New one cuse i thought mine was leaking and the new one does the same thing also the idel could be from the ecu if you didn't change it also what psi is your fuel at?
your fuel leak is coming from a bad seal, either the crush washer or line it's self. something is not tight enough. Your idle problem is due to your incorrect vaccum routing
okay....
#1 the nut at the end of the fuel rail is called a pulsation dampener. did you use all new washers and place them in the correct order? also, is the pulsation dampener the correct one from the fuel rail? i have found that the thread pitch varies from year to year.
#2 the reason your idle is so high is due to the vacuum leak. it's possible to just put a plug on the end of the TB vacuum port and it'll go away.
but i think the fuel leak is the first problem to address.

for real.
i'll admit, doing a swap here and there or a manifold change or supercharger install, on occasion i get a fuel leak... it happens.
but i NEVVVVER turn the car on to idle. i always let the fuel pump prime first.... there is enough pressure to know if you'll have a leak or not. after i have no leak, then i fire it up but still check for leaks as it is idling.
