J's Racing Intake Installation - BRACKET
I have had the J's racing intake installed. But i never have installed the bracket. The intake seems to rest on the coolant line causins it to obviously get warm.
Can anyone show me how the bracket bolts up?

On my ek i just bent the little L bracket and bolted it up to my transmission ground bolt. I don't know if that is where it supposed to go or not but it worked pretty good for me.
Come to think of it, I never installed the bracket on my intake either...I should probably check if it sits on the rad hose, as that would warm the air quite effectively lol.
Thanks for the heads up and yes, pictures would be good

I've seen a few of them installed (PS: I'm speaking from a pure tech aspect here and I hate them in every way possible).
Out of all of them I've seen (maybe 4, 5, 6?) only one had the bracket, and that was like RiceKillinSI said, it was just bolted onto the trans - I'm pretty sure on that ground you can remove to get easier access to the lower thermostat bolt. I wasn't really examining it. I also saw another setup with a bracket, his intake was "the same" - but it wasn't a "J's racing" one - same shape though, point simply being, he had a welded bracket and drilled two holes that ran to in front of your strut tower is (there's holes all over that).
Sorry I can't help further, I've seen quite a few pple put them on for their weekend race day - but I've only seen the bracket that comes with it once...and to be honest I didn't even know that came with it...I just thought he fabbed a bracket from some place, but now that makes sense. The other guy I saw with a bracket def. had a fabbed setup.
. I think ur safe to just let it "sit."

upload it to photshop or something, or awebsite and right click it and find the URL under properties. Then click the little mountain pic [IMG][/IMG] post the URL of the picture in the IMG things lol
This is similar to what I did..... kind of. If you bend the small L bracket just right and bolt the lower part of the bracket to the tranny ground the bracket will be under the intake and it is harder to see. Much cleaner.
