Default rice or border line...be brutaly honest!

what do you think. 88 crx. ferrari red, shaved emblems and door handles.
full wings west rs kit.
D16Z6 running with p28 ecu soon to be turbo
two non-reclinable tenzo-R seats w/ 4-point harnesses.
KYB-AGX adjustable gas struts
Sportline springs
Front + Rear strut bars
slightly tinted window
all clear tail lights( painted red with stained glass paint)
17" axis touring cups

i like my kit, engine, sometimes i look at the wheels and think they are too big. i am running 205/40/ r17 tires. i love that there is no wheel gap at all, but they aren't tucked either. but i want the body a little bit lower.

I have been thinking about selling the 17's and maybe finding some nice 15's. if i keep the 17's, i am getting them powder coated black, and if i get new rims they will be black.

if i ran sportline springs with 15's. would i still have wheel gap? what series tire should i run to match outer diameter of stock 13's, and would running those lower the body from where it sits now. i really hate wheel gap, more than a half inch is too much for my taste. let me know what you all think. thanks

I don't know much about spring rates and shocks and such yet...haven't done it to my own car yet...but as far as wheels, if you plan on going fast, sometimes bigger wheels slow you down(more rotating mass) so I'd stick in the 14-15" range, I"m sure someone else can answer the question about springs....oh and they'd look good black OR white with the ferrari red...

on my old crx 17's looked way too big I would have rather had 15's or 16's

seems like a nice car besides the 17''s, IMO anything over 15''s on a honda look plus the 15'' will be lighter im usiing 195/50/15s and those work great

but do you know anything about those springs on a rex, and what type of wheel gap i would be looking at? i had 16" with 205/40 on them and lowered to where it is now, i had like 2 1/2 inches of wheel gap. i hate that, looks so ugly IMO.

what would be some nice style rims to get? and how much do you think i would be looking at with good tires? if i went with 15's?

Put a pic up. That is the deciding factor. But sounds like it would like nice. If it sits too high it could be tacky too, but function over fasion... try to find a place in between.

you had 2 1/2" wheel gap with 16's???? Is it even lowered at all? That sounds a bit odd to me.going with 15's is only gonna make your gap bigger, unless you get like 70 series tires or something. I'd say its a wise decision to get 15's, or even some light 16's to keep performance and looks on the up and up. However, I Think that if wheel gap bothers you, you're gonna have to get some coil overs or some new springs.

peace out

when i first bought my hatch it had th ww kit lowered with neuspeed 2' lowering springs and 17 enkie's.....it wasnt my style but it didnt look bad....with the kit the wheels complemented it very well.....if i was gonna keep the kit on i was gonna do 16's cause the 17's were just not me....but i took the kit off and i have 15' ls wheels painted gun-metal....and i like the new look alot better....but do whatever makes you happy.

well i have coil-overs on it now, but it is lowered to the same height sportlines would do. in comparrison to another rex that had sportlines with 17's.i plan to get some when i get the spair money... and i had probably a little less than 2" well gap with the 205/40/16's. but the tires were very bald and looked like more because i had it slammed but it looked ghetto so when i raised it, it looks like a bunch of gap. i think i might see how my friends 99 Si wheels look, or maybe find some old GSR's. just tring to get ideas. but thanks...

ok, you said be brutal. so here goes.

The RS kit is on 95% all kitted CRX's around the US. Played out period.
The engine, I have to give you a cuz I'm tired of the B series this and that.
The struts work, so I'm not sweating it but, your rims a kinda large.
The lights are cool cuz you did the right thing and made them red.
I like shaved emblems and handles, and auto door poppers, but I won't do it to my car.

What really matters is how you like your car. So don't let my or anyone's opinion's **** on your dream.

well thanks for the opinion. i think to figure out what i wanna do i am gana just through my stock steelies on there, just to see how low the body is, and what wheel ga is like. if those two factory look good with that outer diameter, then i might look into some new wheels...and thanks for the props you gave. i hate most kits, this one is ok because i am molding it into the car with liquid eurethane and making it look not like blocks added to the car. real clean. still in the works. half primer right now

I have some 16" Enkei TBS-11's on mine, Skunk 2 coilovers, i have about an inch of wheel gap in the back and 1/2 inch in the front. I think it looks good but it makes my car slower than it already is.

I have to agree with a few posts up, 16s are too big. So 17s have to be huge. Over the past two weeks I spent $3200 on two sets of wheels, both in 15" size. Hart CP-F and CP-R.

Alot of dough but light as hell, the CP-Rs may be 12-13lbs, while the CP-F 10-11lbs. Both sets forged.

It's all up to you, if you want to go big, go big. If you want to go small, go small. But, if you want to be different, don't buy ROTAs, everyone and their mother has them, unless they're not "pop" on your side.

yea, nobody has them anywhere around here. never seen em in person. i don't really have the cash to change on wheel right now, just was a thought. almost everybody around here runs like 17's or they run gsr and Si wheels.

i just wish i could get this stupid tach straightened out.

Plus size to the correct stock wheel/tire size.
