Hey guys, im thinking of purchasing a 92 hatch that has a b20 in it. The car comes with a b16 head dissassembled and seperate. Is that a reliable swap and does anyone know the weak points on the engine, are they like the ls/vtec or no. Will it be hard and is it a DIY. Please post helpfull information. Thank-you

its a diy swap do lot or research on how you want to build it personaly i would rebuild the block with stronger everything like block gaurd forged pistons buying one with the b20 in it is kinda point less your better off getting a car stock and doing it yourself you never know how they treated that motor im doing b20b b16 head 12 pounds of boost 8 8 1 compression at nos for daily driver my buddy has almost the same its reliable and faster then almost any swap

 

Dont mean to be a hard a** but there is a lot of info on this subject. Search and find out. As for the swap it can be reliable but i would not buy a car with a set up i am not familiar with.
