not for the trans, but you need solid mounts if you want to use the gforce shifter with it.

if your at the power level to need a liberty trans, solid mounts might not be a bad idea

Jeromie spent a lot of time with you on the phone trying to help figure out what happened.
Both Liberty and Jeromie are convinced after your re-count of the pass and the pictures you emailed, that you didn't have it in gear as you attempted to do a 3rd gear burnout, breaking the teeth in the process and why it wouldn't go into 3rd gear on the pass.

Liberty offered to go through the transmission and help you out and you never sent the transmission to them. You decided to just buy the parts and do it yourself...

Been thinking about getting the Liberty myself, but regarding Liberty offering to help out, would they help cover the $120 to ship the transmission each way when you have spent that much money to begin with? And its not guaranteed that they will cover the part that could be broken either right? In a way, maybe buying the part comes out to be the same cost after you've already bought the part and not have to ship it as well. And you dont lose 3 weeks of down time not having the transmission. Just wondering...

Obviously not, but they'll be able to know exactly what caused the part to break. If it's something on their end they would absolutely take care of it.

Again, from what he explained to Jeromie and the pictures he provided of the broken parts, Liberty and Jeromie both think it wasn't in gear on the burn out.
That's entirely possible, which is in no way Liberty's fault.

Exactly! None are.

It just sucks because you don't see people posting threads who aren't having any problems, you just see threads from people quick to jump on a forum before knowing what happened or considering the fact that it could have been their fault that the part broke.
It just fuels negativity and creates bad press for companies that are creating products for the sport compact industry. Not many companies are putting products like the Liberty transmission out there...

From what i've seen so far of the Liberty's gear set, it's one of the best things that's come out in the honda race market in ages!

From what I read, I dont think there was blame put on the company. Forums are there to ASK questions and get answers. I think the guy just asked if you need a Solid Rear Mount. I dont think there was a question regarding the quality and performance of the product. You are quick to assume that the guy was complaining already from what he asked. I didnt see it that way.

His first statement was a question, however he quickly jumped to:
"This trans im always having problems with just needing ideas to fix it.Last time out it wont go into third gear."

Well I think thats why he asked if you need a Solid Rear Mount, maybe the trans/engine moves too much with what he has now and there needs to be NO movement at all for best results.

The thread he started about the broken 3rd gear was a couple weeks ago, so I assumed he was referring to that. There were lots of negative comments about Liberty in that thread and both Liberty and Jeromie offered to help him if he needed it. So I apologize if I jumped too quickly to defend Liberty...

However Liberty and Jeromie offered to help him, like I said, so he could have contacted Jeromie directly about this as well, especially since he purchased the transmission through us. Jeromie's always glad to help people out with things like this as well as others.

Ok, here's what you do...

1. Buy the transmission on your credit card.
2. Apply for a new credit card with zero APR for the 1st year on balance transfers.
3. Fill out the ap with a $4,000 - $5,000 balance transfer (ie, your new transmission).
4. Now you have a new transmission and a year to pay it off with 0% financing!

Trust me, I've been doing it for the last four years
