Need help with a brake problem!!!
Ok Guys,
My mom has a 93 Accord SE that has been sitting for a while. I go to drive it and the ABS light comes on. Damn... Oh well I find out the left rear caliper is hanging up becasue one of the slides on the caliper braket that holds the caliper on is seized up. So I get the BFH out and bash the thing and it still wont budge. ANy ideas? I called up honda and they said in order to get the caliper bracket I have to buy a whole new caliper.... Has anyone heard of this? It just makes no sense. Thanks!

Before ordering a new caliper, get a can of PB Blaster from Auto Zone or some place like that. It kicks *** when it comes to removing rust, and I think it will work for you. I had to take the bolts off of my manifold and I broke one before I bought the stuff. I went and some guy recommended it and I took the nuts off with little problem. It's only five bucks as opposed to sixty.
The problem is you can't get any of that stuff in there unless I rip the boot off of the slide, which would then allow more dirt and crap to enter and freeze it up again. Any more ideas?

There is a boot that protects the slide that the calper bolts to. Is it possible the Se is different than other accords?
