Default Break-in for new block???

I just had a new block installed by the dealer under warranty. I am assuming the normal "new car" 500 mile break-in would be sufficient.

Any thoughts on whether I should follow a 500 + mile break-in schedule or just let 'er rip(got about 350 on 'er right now)

Chris

sort of on topic.. another Q.
why is driving on the freeway or constant rpm's during the "break in" not encouraged?

When i bought my R,all there was,was freeway back what was i supposed to do take side streets for 50 miles?.Don't think so. But i let her rip at like 80 miles.I got her used to the way she was going to driven right away.Don't be scared go for it let her rip.

And when i dynoed her the first time at Dynamic motorsports in Irvine. She made 170 hp 129.tq stock oh yeah had an intake.I had them put on a Field vtec controller with hardly any tuning at all, since they where closing.174 hp 133 tq.

So i don't think you'll have a problem with it.
