I have a d15 motor layin around and i was wondering if the intake manifold would work with the d16 motor in my EK. I was told it would bolt right up and the reason i want to do this is because i plan on turboin it in the next few months and i dont think it will fit to the top mounted intake manifold (or whatever its called) on the d16 and for 2 i think it looks a whole lot better. any suggestions would be great

 

It'll work, but unless that IM is from a D15B, it'll suck.

Spend $30 and find a D16Z6 or Y8 IM.

What?^^ Why would you want to stick a d15b intake on a d16? If you have a EK and you want to stick it in there, the "EJ8" comes with a d16y8, the IM for the d16y8 is the best IM of all the d series. So why would you want to take it out?

 

hmmm.... I have a D16Y7 engine with D15B7 manifold at the moment. Should I stay where I'm at?

ive got a d16y7 with a y8 intake manifold. does it affect the smog? or cause C.E.L? or is it perfectly ok to have it on a y7 engine?

 

I'll sell you a D16Y8 intake manifold with a GSR throttle body.

My motor isnt a Y8 its the Y7..and how much you talkin bout for the Y8 IM and throttle body?
