Default times for a b16 rex????

my friend has a 89 Si crx, with a 1st gen jdm b16. running about 12lb flywheel, regular tranny, axels. dc sports header. msd 8.5mm plug wires. denso plugs, cheap intake ( non-CAI) and a nice thermal cat-back exhaust. also has a apex-i vtec controller, and breather filters on the intake and valve cover where the stupid line used to be. he is running a stage 2 excedy clutch, and 205/40/zr17, lowered with prokit springs. what times should he be getting in the 8th mile?

and what would you all recomend him setting his vtec in/out and fuel ratio at in the vtec controller to get best runs? it seems to be running slow and so i was wondering what might be the problem?

thanks for the help.

The guy who originally swapped the B16 into my car ran it against his GTechPro. He only did 0-60 run but got 5.9sec. Not bad I'd say!

Okay now I'll admit this is getting out of hand.

FYI-We have a thing called a search ifyour new check it out and type in the general subject and youll get pages of already posted info on the same ? you asked.

I mean seriously this ? has been asked a thousand times.

and those breather filters arent doing anything but making a noise under his hood, he better be changing those out like everytime he does a oil change becuase those vaccum lines on your valve cover to intake pipe are there for a reason to give your engine circulation. Those filters can clog alot up, ive heard alot of bad **** about them.

ok, well bud since i have been tring to search for b16 times. recent and old. only thing coming up is **** about enough b16 times, what about zc, and one post of b16 times, on stock engines, and 1/4 miles. i need a time for a slightly moded b16 in the 8th mile.

you wanna complain about bogus posts, take care of the idiot "neospite" making that post

" . " and doesn't say anything but " . " inside of it?

Im referring to the fact that I got biatched at for asking the same ? before and so from then on I used the post, it does work good, you have to be blunt about the question. Just keep trying.

And I dont think I need to find another forum to talk on im on about 5 others and I use the search on all of them.

A b16a 1/4 and 1/8 time is prob. the most often asked ? on this site and the fact that he is farely new he prob. didnt know about hte search, so I let him know about it in the nicest fashion I could, and If you read right youll see he thanked me and is going to keep that in mind. happy now?
