weak question
what the hell is the poll for? I may be telling you wrong cause i have a crx, but should be close. You either do it at the rear drums or behind the brake lever. Behind the lever there should be a panel that has a slot to pop it up with a screw driver. Pry it up, look at the two cables with adjuster nuts, tighten nuts slightly, jack up rear of car, spin wheels to make sure no drag, tighten each nut until they slightly drag, then back off a little. that is my way, others will tell you if it is right or not for ur car.
If the rear brakes are too far out of adjustment for ^^^ to work you will have to adjust the brakes.
There is (or should be) a rubber plug or grommet on the back of the rear drum brakes. Pop that off and reach in with a flat screwdriver or if you have a brake adjusting tool and turn the starwheel adjuster to spread the shoes out tighter. If you've never seen the inside of drum brakes then find your dad and ask him. Im sure he remembers how drum brakes work. It is very simple if you've seen whats inside. Once thats adjusted then you should be able to bite it with the ebrake or adjust the cable to tighten it further.

Or since they are out of adjustment, the drums should just slide off.
So...
1)Take your of your rear wheels
2)Slide off the drums
3)Look at the star wheel/adjuster assembly. Push down on the little piece of metal that locks the star wheel in place with a screw driver so you can spin the star wheel with another screw driver.
4)Keep adjusting until you can't put the drum back on... then loosen it back a little bit until the drum will fit back on

LoL you're silly. Unless my 89 si is unique then the jokes on you. The drums on my car always come off easily so it takes all of three seconds to pull them off. Its soooo much easier than dicking around through the little service hole. I mean personally, I think its 10x easier to jack the car up take the wheels off, slide the drum off and see what you are doing and it takes seconds to do once the adjuster is right there.
