Hey guys,
I need to order a new clutch for my cable trans but I dont want to order the wrong one. I have the trans pulled, and I counted 24 splines on the input shaft. All I "know" is that it was from an LS. I found an old clutch alignment tool that came with an old exedy clutch for a 99 Si, and it was to big for the pressure plate. All I have come up with as far as searching is that there are two different input shafts on cable B-series clutches...small (for 90-91), and big (92-93). I haven't found any mention of spline counts for B-series, only for d-series. Also, what shaft is on the B16 cable trans? I would like to order a clutch tonight. Thanks guys.

 

if the clutch alignment tool for 92+ b-series didn't work, then it's definitely a 90-91 tranny/clutch.

order a clutch for a 90-91 teg.

 

24 spline is 90/91, I have both slightly used exedy,
I have a 91 s1 tranny in my car right now.
Order a 90/91 clutch kit.good luck
