Default fender bender = gay k swap is on hold :-(

yeah thats right ladies and gents. i was involved in a 5 car pile up last night around midnight. a group of about 80-90 cars were going cruising (yeah it was a huge huge meet last night) well someone got cut off then someone slammed on the breakes then bam bam bam 4 cars hit each other and all i saw was my buddy slam into the back of a crx no break lights or anything i slam on the breaks at about 30-35 mph and bump his eg hatch. so shitty, but it can be fixed im pulling some strings at school and getting my old auto body teacher to get his car in. my car on the other hand i think im gonna get it professionally done. i can do it my self but honestly i just dont wanna dick with it.

the damage to my car
what i know for sure as of now.

core support has been pushed back about an inch on one side and an inch on the other
bumper support is most likely screwed
hid's are done for. i had my ballasts mounted behind the support after the impack they wouldnt turn on.
cheap *** altezza grille...free so no lose to me
bumper needs to be repainted
lips needs to be repainted

onto the pics i have so far, im about to take off the front bumper remove my hid stuff and put some stock bulbs in so i can drive at night. ill take more once shes dismantled

doesnt look terrible but nothing lines up at all and all the damage is structural so yeah this sucks.

more pics to come very soon after i get it torn down.

and this message to toyomatt ya wanna know the really shitty thing buddy? i was going to go to acura and buy my pistons and rings tomorrow :-( start tearing down the k but now thats gonna be on hold

yeah thank god for the flexibilty of carbon fiber thats the only reason my hood isnt messed. it just flexed with the impact and then popped back into place

Carbon Fiber itself is flexible, but the epoxy used to make it stay a certain shape, is not. It shouldn't just "pop back into place".

Either way, that's a sour deal, bud. Have you done anything with your K to prep it for the impending swap?

Damn dude Such a shame, i love the look of your car. But like Freddy said, it could have been worse... i know that doesn't really help, cos it's bad enough as it is.

nguyen: josh got the cops involved and everyone who wasnt there got a hit skip ticket. i still dont know who caused all this ive heard 3 different people. the asshat in the 240sx the burly man in the bmw and the ricer in the crx so i really dont know. im putting money on the crx cause the damage starts with the *** end of the accord and goes to the front of his rice rocket.

and em2 uk 1 i know it could have been worse but its already bad enough cause im suspecting frame damage :-(

yeah dude im suspecting that rex being the cause of all this anyway, cause the damage starts with the assend of the accord and the front of the rex. besides hes a tool bag anyway. later that night his brother was like everyone should chip in 5 bucks and everyone in involved should split it. im thinking your ******* stupid 70 people at 5 bucks each is not going to cover near what everyones **** is going to cost. hell i got quoted 2200 to fix everything. but im only paying about 4-500 at a body shop ive been to before.
