How many of you guys have tuned your R with stock cams?
What kind of gains did you see?
A kid down the street just got a py R, he has a aem cai and a mugen exhaust. He just got a set of toda cam gears and he says he is going to tune his car. I just want to know if you can see big gains with this kind of setup.

This is kinda off topic to your question, but on-topic to the post....

The King Mugen ITR had the cam gears set at +1I,+5E.... I thought that was a little strange.

The last time "I" put it on a dyno it made 180whp with stock timing, wrong plugs, and bad wires, dist cap & rotor (Gas in GA sucks! - or was it the #6 plugs )

In it's finer days I am told that it made 185whp...

 

I´m going to tune my stock cams also and I would really like to know what kind of gains you guys out there are seeing and what kind of settings you have on the gears?

I know that every motor is diferent but I would really like to know anyway

You can smooth out the hp curve and I think you might gain 5 peak. But other wise that's pretty much it.
